The iPad 2 is most definitely going on sale in Australia on March 25, and Apple have late tonight – 20 minutes ago – released the iPad 2 price.

The good news is they will not be the original price of the original iPad. And compared against the US iPad 2 price, I think we’ve not fared too badly at all.

What time does it go on sale?

If you’re going to queue, you’ll not be getting your iPad 2  at midnight. It will go on sale at Apple retail stores and select Apple Authorised Resellers (?) at 5.00 pm,. If you’re ordering via the Apple Store online, you can do so beginning at 1.00 am.

So, will you be queuing on Friday? Where will you queue? Or is your question more along the lines of what’s that iPad 2 movie about, and do I need to have seen the prequel?

Anyway, the prices… oh, and the the two brilliant new apps Apple showed off at the iPad 2 launch event? iMovie and GarageBand for iPad will sell for $5.99. And the iPad smart cover – the polyurethane version will sell for $45, the leather for $79.
