JBL Cinema Sound CS500 Cinepack speaker system – surround sound to go with your HD TV

JBL CS500 speakers audio JBL’s new Cinema Sound CS500 Cinepack is a 5.1 speaker system, designed to add a higher quality of sound to high definition plasma and LCD TVs.

System components

  • CST55 floorstanding tower loudspeaker with 19 mm (3/4”) titanium-laminate-dome tweeter with Elliptical Oblate Spheroidal [EOS] waveguide and dual 130 mm (5”) PolyPlas cone woofers.
  • CSC55 centre channel loudspeaker with 19 mm (3/4”) titanium-laminate-dome tweeter with EOS waveguide and dual 130 mm (5”) PolyPlas cone woofers.
  • CSB5 rear channel loudspeaker with 19 mm (3/4”) titanium-laminate-dome tweeter with EOS waveguide and 130 mm (5”) PolyPlas™ cone woofer.
  • CSS10, 150-watt powered subwoofer with 250 mm (10”) woofer and built-in 300-watt peak/150-watt RMS amplifier)

Aiding in fitting in all the additional speakers into homes, both the CSC55 and the 2-way CSB5 surround speakers can also be wall-mounted, using the supplied wall brackets.

Price and availability

The CS500 has an RRP of $2,699 AUD and is available from March 2010 from selected JBL stockists including Harvey Norman and independent specialist stores.
