The game of Monopoly is now 75 years old, and with the new Monopoly Streets video game Electronic Arts have re-imagined the game for play on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii games consoles.

It’s Monopoly, but not as you know it. The game pieces, characters, even the Community Chest cards, are animated. Houses appear on blocks of land you buy, and morph into hotels as your invest more of your game wealth on the land.

You’re not stuck with the one game space either. Options include a place called Landmark City, or you can go with the classic game board.

PlayStation 3 and Xbox versions of the game allow online gaming, so there’ll always be someone around to play. Wii and Xbox 360 players can use their system’s Mii or avatar as their in-game character.
