As part of celebrating TechStyles’ second birthday, Dell is giving TechStyles readers the opportunity to win a Dell Inspiron 15R laptop computer!
The Dell Inspiron 15R is valued at $599, and has a 2nd Gen Intel Core processor, 15.6 inch screen, genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit operating system, and optional switchable lid colours.

It would have a poor memory, old MOTHERboard, wrinkled screen, definitely not lightweight, slow running, not fond of mice, plain looking and hard to boot up especially in winter.
Two words: ‘sneeze’ guard.
A custom computer for me would be able to change colours like a mood ring, then everyone would know when to stay away, and went to come and play!
Having a Dell Inspiron Laptop greet me with a cheery Good Morning and fully operate via my voice command would be awesome and leave me free to multi-task!
It would not only research which wine to go with dinner…it would make it for me too! Then play me the latest new release movie while I relaxed
A dell pop out stubbie holder,for my beer. A mini barbeque to have a snag whilst surfing the net. Dell, you are inspirational.
Install a gorilla glass capacitative screen on the lid. Combines the concept of hot swappable covers, a laptop and a tablet in one.
Finger print scanner so laptop only unlatches for me, plus a pop out coffee warmer and for those annoying coffee spills a washable Keyboard that clips out for easy cleaning.
A “stop procrastinating button”, which if I push it will block access to Facebook, Youtube and games sites for two hours while I complete homework!
i would have a beach design with kids foot prints in the sand as the cover, a pink key board with gel pads for comfort
I would like to be able to use my laptop with opening the lid little like an iPad
I would make a solar-panel out of the Dell switchable lid cover, so that I would never run out of battery and have a big TechStyles logo displayed.
I would make it light-weght and with a solar panel on the lid, so it is eco-friendly like me!
It would be teal with a lit keyboard, 17″, would go really fast and have a crapton of storage. Oooooyeah.
i would definitely include a drink holder and then some form of spill-proof keyboard. I am constantly having to replace mine due to drink spillages
I’d have a blue Butters (South Park) laptop cover with the image from ‘The Butters Show’. I’d also have the keyboard lights pink.

A 3 screened monitor that allows you to view different pages simoultaneously:-)
Switch colours depending on who is logged on; have a timer that sends a slight shock so the user know it’s time for the next kid to have a go!

A custom cup holder for my coffee thermos while I’m out and about
I would make the case out of carbon fibre so that it would be very strong and very light, and the weave pattern would have a beautiful glazed cloth-like appearance.
I would include a minimum of 20 USB ports. There’s loads of room on the front and sides, right?
It would need to be pink with a fluffy lid and wrist rest and a built in microphone so no matter where the kids are they can always hear me!
The colour firstly, then make sure the keys are easy to use and illuminated, a poor feature of a lot of laptops, then touch screen capability life would be so much easier, along with voice recognition
Using Windows-7, I’d print out a sign for the cover that reads
I WON THIS DELL INSPIRON 15R FROM TECHSTYLES ON IT’S SECOND BIRTHDAY!
My custom laptop would be completely sustainable, using solar and thermal (from my hands/body) energy to power it. It would also be extremely light and portable.
I would have to have a laptop that will not slow down, no matter how many screens I have up, as well as solar a solar panel.
A alert for when things go wrong that says ” have you tried turning it on and off?”
Keith, agent 007 in training, would expect a turbo boost switch for faster surfing, infrafed glasses displaying users watching my internet activity and a hacker annihilation switch.
I would have a USB mini TV monitor plugin, so that I could watch movies, (every movie tells a story), without impacting my internet surfing. Perfect for leisure and work multi-skilling.
I would like the laptop to run on solar energy and I should also be able to detach the screen and use it as a tablet. I should also be able to use it as a TV by just plugging in the TV wire.
Unlimited memory – let’s face it – you can never have enough!

large numbers and letters on the keyboard so i can give one to all my parents so they can see all the keys then i can work on the computer in peace!
FUR !!! A black fur laptop lid with hot pink fur around the outside. Something a little bit “different” is me
Alot of the Schools programs for kids are not compatible with some laptops. I would custom design one just for kids that does have all the safety and Barred features.
Gel pads in front of the keyboard to rest my wrists on. They get quite sore after a few hours.
an answering machine so when the kids call or the phone rings its taken care off and i dont have to run to them
HAVE A SCREEN ON THE LAPTOP COVER THAT DISPLAYS MY FAMILY SCREENSAVER PHOTOS
My laptop would be made entirely of crystal glass. I can swap the keyboard surface with my favourite chess or board game with a gentle swipe. A great de-stress quality!
I would make the top of the laptop a scanner and printer so it is an all in one product
i make as cool as can be with name of my Favorite bands and singers.
A custom wrinkled case, like me -skinned over our awesome specs,
An old-age NAG alert sensor to run MY memory checks,
Plus pills dispenser tray… a ‘more me’ laptop yay!
This would be great for my wife to use with the kids she helps with tutoring.
If a porn site is accessed, a booming voice suddenly shouts: ‘I’m watching porn!’ I’d let members of my family use the laptop and wait to see who gets sprung!
A flashing light, sirens and a speaker system to scream “SOMEONE’S SURFING PORN” to really annoy my husband!! Your busted buddy!!
I would add Mission Impossible/Stephen Hawking design features – infrared technology with a touchscreen interface; and a second holographic screen built in so I don’t have to connect another monitor.
