Bang & Olufsen’s BeoPlay V1 TV makes unscheduled appearance

BeoPlay V1 TV from Bang & Olufsen

The third product in Bang & Olufsen’s B&O Play budget line is said to be the BeoPlay V1 TV, following the Beolit 12 wireless speaker, released earlier this year.

Danish site recordere has published what it claims is the leaked details of the  BeoPlay V1. It will be an LCD TV, available in two sizes, 32-inch, and 40-inch (the BeoPlay V1-32 and BeoPlay V1-40), and in a choice of two colours, black or white. Apart from the floorstand option pictured above, it will also have a tabletop stand option, as well as floor or ceiling mounting. DLNA will be built in, as is 5.1 sound, and there will be a space on the back to house an Apple TV.

The BeoPlay V1 TV is apparently set for a wordwide launch on May 2, with pricing said to be 2399 Euros for the 32-inch model, and 2899 Euros for the 40-inch.

UPDATE: The Beoplay V1 will go on sale in late May / early June. Australian pricing begins at $3,690 for the 32-inch model, and $4,490  for the 40-inch.
