The Cobra Tag, when combined with the free app for Android and BlackBerry smartphones, could both save from from losing keys, wallets, handbags, etc.
The tag, which looks very much like a keyring, works with a free Cobra Tag phone app, plus Bluetooth and GPS, to sound an alarm if the phone and the object that is either attached to the Cobra Tag, or has the tag placed within it, exceeds 10 metres.
If you aren’t paying attention and miss the alarm, you can use the app to make the Cobra Tag emit a sound to help you find that which you left behind. Likewise, you can reverse the process and use your Cobra Tag to locate your phone. It’s all very much like a Bluetooth game of Marco Polo.
It’s a neat little device for the absent-minded and nervous, and an alternative device to the ZOMM Wireless Leash we wrote about earlier this year.
