The HTC Desire Z is Australia-bound, a 3.7 inch touchscreen and slideout QWERTY keyboard phone, running on Android Froyo (aka Android 2.2).

That’s the good news. The bad news is, from launch the HTC Desire Z will be exclusive to only one carrier – Vodafone.

The release date for the HTC Desire is mid-March. No pricing details are available right now, they will be released just prior to launch.
