Instacube. A hipster digital photo frame?

Instacube, a digital photo frame for your Instagram photos

While rummaging about on Kickstarter for the blink(1) story, I found another interesting project up for funding, called the Instacube. The Instacube is a digital photo frame, on which you will login to your Instagram account, and wirelessly upload images from your little ol’ smartphone screen, to the 6.5-inch screen of the Instacube. Inside is 4GB of storage for your images, and the whole show is run by (a version of) Android. The Instacube, with Martini The Instacube is the brainchild of the Hong Kong-based design consultancy D2M | Design to Matter. At the time of writing Instacube has 30 more days to run on Kickstarter. It has a funding target of $250,000, and has raised $130,790 from 1,169 backers. If the project does make it over the line, D2M | Design to Matter envisage a delivery date of the device in Q2 2013. So, if you’d like to get in on the funding, and pick up a t-shirt, or your very own Instacube, visit the Instacube page on Kickstarter.
