iWallet keeps its finger on security

iWallet, the carbon fiber model

The trusty old wallet gets a whole lot more ‘trustier’ with the iWallet. It has a hard case, made from either carbon fibre, fibreglass or polycarbonate, and is kept safe, and private, with biometric fingerprint access.

To up the security a little more, if you pair the wallet via Bluetooth with your phone, anytime the iWallet and the phone are more than 3 to 5 metres an alarm will sound. Loud enough to deter a thief, or let you know you’ve walked off without your wallet.

The management software for the iWallet is downloadable, Mac and Windows, along with alarm software for iPhone, BlackBerry. The download section of the iWallet site doesn’t mention other phone brads, but a ticker on the site declares that the iWallet now pairs with all Bluetooth-enabled phones.
