After seemingly the longest launch in mobile phone history, the Nokia N8 and its new Symbian^3 operating system will be in stores on November 1.

Who’ll have the N8? Optus, Telstra, VHA (that’s Vodafone and 3), and ‘selected retailers’.

There’s no plan details as yet, but Nokia have a $749 RRP on the phone. If you want to get in at the head of the queue, visit the Nokia N8 pre-register page.

Oh, and in bad news for colour-lovers, the blue, orange and yellow Nokia N8 will not be making the trip down south to Australia. Instead it’s the austere end of the colour range on offer, dark grey, silver and white.
