It turns out I wasn’t seeing things, and it wasn’t merely a prop for the ad. The gadget in question is the Ryobi 18V ONE+ Radio AM/FM. Not only that, there’s a second product, the Ryobi 18V ONE+ Radio (FM).
Both are part of Ryobi’s ONE+ series. With this system you choose from a series of either Ni-CAD or Lithium Ion battery packs, and buy the tool attachments as needed. There are 25 tool attachments to choose from. In addition to the two radios, there is a range of drills, angle grinder, planer, circular saw, jigsaw, orbital sander, halogen spotlight, torch, hand vacuum cleaner, flashlight, fluorescent light garden tools and more.
