Samsung Galaxy Ace hits the Telstra shelves

Samsung Galxy Ace, Android Froyo smartphoneOut of the blue Samsung has today announced the Galaxy Ace, a budget smartphone running on Android 2.2, aka Android Froyo. There’ll be no waiting around for this phone it’s in stores today – Telstra stores that is.

Budget it may be, but the feature set is decent, as is the price. A 3.5-inch touchscreen, GPS with turn-by-turn voice guidance, drive and walk modes and intelligent address search, and a 5 megapixel camera.



It’s a week of budget Android smartphone announcements, with details of the HTC Wildfire S also released this week.

Samsung Galaxy Ace release date and price

The Samsung Galaxy Ace is available now, from Telstra stores and Telstra online only. Purchased outright, the phone will cost $528. It is also available on the following plans:
