The Swissvoice ePure DECT telephone is proof, along with the Sagemcom Sixty cordless phone, that the humble old home phone is not standing still design-wise.

It’s not exactly high-tech, but the Swissvoice ePure is definitely high-design – amongst the awards the ePure has won is the Design for Asia Award 2010. It’s a Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications (DECT) – the long way of saying it’s a cordless phone. The battery provides 10 hours of talk time on a full charge, and will get by for 150 hours on standby. The handset will work up to 50 metres away from the base indoors, and 300 metres outdoors.
