Swissvoice ePure cordless telephone

Swissvoice ePure cordless phone - black, front view

The Swissvoice ePure DECT telephone is proof, along with the Sagemcom Sixty cordless phone, that the humble old home phone is not standing still design-wise.

It’s not exactly high-tech, but the Swissvoice ePure is definitely high-design – amongst the awards the ePure has won is the Design for Asia Award 2010. It’s a Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications (DECT) – the long way of saying it’s a cordless phone. The battery provides 10 hours of talk time on a full charge, and will get by for 150 hours on standby. The handset will work up to 50 metres away from the base indoors, and 300 metres outdoors.

At the moment there is no answering machine capability, but Swissvoice are planning on releasing an ePure with an inbuilt answering machine a little later this year.
