TechStyles Top 10 – July 2010

Here are the top 10 TechStyles stories read over the month of July 2010. The Nokia N8 is still popular, and the iPhone 4 enters the fray.

The top 10 stories read on TechStyles over the month of July. Quite a few repeat stories from last month’s top 10, but we do have a few new entries, including some about a little device that snuck out without much fanfare last month, Apple’s iPhone 4.

1. Nokia N8 smartphone preview– a perennial show in the TechStyles Top 10. I’ll say it again, a lot of people are eagerly awaiting this phone. If this phone is of interest, take a look at all of our stories about the Nokia N8.



2. Telstra iPhone 4 midnight store events – iPhone 4 – iPhone 4… yes, it was a July release, and there was so much interest and controversy around it that it was bound to make an appearance in the top stories of the month. Techstyles has quite a few more stories about the Apple iPhone 4.

3. Henge Docks – docking stations for Apple Mac notebooks – another old favourite in our top 10. This is a smart design solution, and MacBook and MacBook Pro owners like the way it looks, and the way it works.

4. HTC Desire GPS issue – fix expected soon – still popular, but more for the phone than the GPS issue, which was after all fixed… see below. You could also read all of our stories about the HTC Desire.

5. Tour de France 2010 – it’s tech on wheels! – the race is over now, but the story remains. This article showed you how to get an ever closer sense of the magnificence race and the resilience of the riders – using a little tech of course.

6. Brennan JB7 – CD player with up to a 5,000 disc capacity hard drive – available to buy online only, this device has been a real success story, both in terms of its sales, and its longevity in the TechStyles Top 10.

7. HTC Desire GPS fix available now – yes, yes, there was a problem with the GPS function, but a fix was supplied by HTC a week after the launch. Links to the fixes are contained within this story.

8. Samsung Galaxy S launches into outer… Optus – a new Android smartphone, running version 2.1 of the Google Android operating system. Initially exclusive to Optus, you should now be able to find it on other carriers.

9. ASUS NX90 notebook computer – high-end, high concept – from the designer of many of the iconic Bang & Olufsen devices, this notebook computer has some pretty serious sound on board, and is just made to experience multimedia content.

10. iPhone 4 price – here’s the launch prices of the iPhone 4, from Apple, Telstra, Optus, 3 Australia and Vodafone.
