The S30 will shoot high definition video at 1920x1080p resolution, or take still shots, doubling as an 8 megapixel digital camera.
On-board is a flip-out LCD touchscreen, video stabilisation, and the ability to load video directly to YouTube via the touch of one button. It does have 16x zoom, but it’s the inferior digital zoom variety, rather the optical zoom (aka ‘true’ zoom).
There’s no memory on-board, instead video and stills are stored to SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards (not included), up to 64GB.
It’s a decent looking device, but I’m not so sure about its name. Ever since starting to write this I haven’t been able to get the Gypsy Kings out of my head – “Camileo, Camileo, Porque mi vida, yo la prefiero vivir asi…”
