Apple’s yearly Worldwide Developers Conference takes place on June 6 in San Francisco, an event that has also been used to make the odd new product announcement. So of course the June 6 event has had people speculating.

At least some of the answer has just arrived in my inbox. A press release from Apple Australia. So, what do they have to say? Over to you Apple:

Apple CEO Steve Jobs and a team of Apple executives will kick off the company’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) with a keynote address on Monday, 6 June at 10:00 a.m (PST). At the keynote, Apple will unveil its next generation software – Lion, the eighth major release of Mac OS X; iOS 5, the next version of Apple’s advanced mobile operating system which powers the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch; and iCloud, Apple’s upcoming cloud services offering.

The excitement will I guess be in the details. Will there also be a ‘just one more thing’?
