iPhones and iPod Touches are pretty great, but they’re really not very gunny… until now that is, with the addition of the appBlaster.
Once you have the weaponry, head on over to Apple’s App Store to download the first game built for the appBlaster, ‘Alien Attacks’. Then you’re away, with bad alien guys overlaid on the iPod or iPhone’s camera, and to triggers controlling primary and secondary weapons to blast aliens into space dust.
Makers Apptoyz released the appBlaster in early July, and there are apparently three more games in development – Clay Icon, Tin Can, and Whacky Hunter.
The appBlaster is compatible with the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, and the iPod touch 4th generation. The weight of the games accessory is 790g, and it measures 28 x 51 x 8 cm.
It’s close to being available on Australian shelves, though no stockists are known at the time of writing. There’s also no pricing info, but as a guide, the appBlaster sells for £19.99 in the UK.
