If you’ve already committed mass destruction and mayhem with your ‘vanilla’ copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops, then lookout, there’s more video game war headed your way on February 1 with the add-on game pack Call of Duty: Black Ops First Strike.
This is the first block of downloadable content released for Call of Duty: Black Ops, and features four new multiplayer maps, including Berlin Wall, Discovery, Stadium and Kowloon, and a new Zombie map called Ascension.
It definitely won’t be the last add-on pack for the game:
“We’re committed to supporting Call of Duty: Black Ops fans with continuous updates to the game and exciting new content that will keep our community engaged,” said Treyarch Studio Head, Mark Lamia.
I suppose you could say that Call of Duty: Black Ops has done reasonably well. In its first five days of release it saw sales of US$650 million.
Call of Duty: Black Ops is CURRENTLY rated “MA15+” by the Australian Classification Board. Though given the glacial pace at which the various Governors-General will move on game ratings, I expect it will stay MA15+ for some time yet.
