Canon today announced two upcoming point and shoot digital camera, the IXUS 1100 HS and the IXUS 230 HS.
The IXUS 1100 HS, pictured above, is a 12.1 megapixel camera, thin, at 21.9 mm, with 12x optical zoom and a 8.1 cm wide LCD screen. It’s a touchscreen, which allows you to take a photo, and select the area of focus, by using the screen’s Touch Shutter feature.
The IXUS 230 HS, pictured below, is also a 12.1 megapixel camera, with 8x optical zoom.
Both cameras share the following main features:
- Intelligent Image Stabiliser
- TruCapture technology
- DiG!C 4 image processor
- OIS Lens
- Intelligent Auto Technology – 32 scenes, advanced subject detection
- Full High Definition movie recording (1920 x 1080)
Price and availability
Both the IXUS 1100 HS and the IXUS 230 HS will be available at the end of September. As is seemingly the norm these days, pricing won’t be available until closer to the launch date.
