Last week I expressed my liking of the Olive O3HD Music Server. Olive has stepped up the storage and the fidelity with their latest device, the Olive O6HD Music Server.
The O6HD Music Server has a 2 terabyte drive, holding 20,000 HD tracks or 6,000 CDs in original quality. On the O3HD the screen is located on the front, and is a 4.3 inch touchscreen. The O6HD the screen moves to the top, and is a 10.1 inch touchscreen, 800 x 480 pixels.
But the real advance of the Olive O6HD is in its sound processing. Olive has loaded the O6HD with high-end components, and increased efforts to have the unit run quietly, and to eliminate noise and jitter from the moving components.
As with the Olive O3D, you put in the CD and the machine does the rest – copies the songs, asigns track names, album title and genre.
Olive O6HD Music Server price and availability
The Australian RRP of the Olive O6HD Music Server is $6,499. You’ll find it on sale in a select network of specialty hi-fi stores across Australia.
