The worlds of smartphone and watches come together with the upcoming release of the i’m watch. Due to be shown off at this week’s CES in Las Vegas, the i’m watch will tether with “iPhone, Android and all possible future smartphones”, and from said smartphones’ displays:

  • incoming calls
  • address book
  • Facebook, Twitter and Foursquare notifications
  • weather forecast
  • photos
  • appointments
  • news

All of these apps, and more. Oh, and yes, it also tells the time. A product of Italy, the i’m watch has a capacitive touchscreen, and you can add more apps via i’m cloud,  that links to  “Google’s App Engine”. Not only can apps be added to the i’m watch, once registered you’re also able to build your own.

Styles and pricing

There are several models of the i’m watch to be available, as follows, and with pricing in Euros:

  • i’m colour – entry level materials, includes 7 different coloured silicon bands – 249 Euros
  • i’m tech, with rubber watchbands – from 499 Euros
  • i’m color + i’music subscription – 1,499 Euros
  • i’m jewels – yellow gold, white gold and diamonds, pink gold and black gold – 9,999 Euros

After being on show at CES 2012, the i’m watch orders will begin to be delivered from January 30.
