Do you find yourself thinking, “Damn, I have Twitter and Facebook access on my home computer, my work computer, my mobile phone… it’s just not enough, I need more access!”? Then worry no more good people, the horological boffins at Tokyoflash Japan have got your back!
Tokyoflash is renowned for stretching the boundaries, and fun factor of watchmaking, its company motto, “Change The Way You Think About Time”. And the Instant Trend is one of its latest concept designs. The proposed design for the Instant Trend sees its in-built Bluetooth pairing with your mobile phone, pushing tweets and Facebook status updates right to your wrist.
As for reading the time, it’s possibly not by numbers, but by blocks represnting numbers. One row representing hours, another minutes, and a third row representing tens of minutes. Another option is essentially a multiple location feed of times and timezones. See the table below for the multiple screen options for the proposed design.
Head over to the Tokyoflash blog for more pictures of the watch, plus you can register and pass along suggestions to the designers via the comments section.
I note that the date that Tokyoflash posted the blog is April 1 – I’m pretty sure it’s a ‘real’ concept, and not an April Fool’s joke.
